Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
Will there be anyone with your son who could prompt him if his medication makes him sleepy and/or forgetful?
What to expect on the day is explained in our PIP guide, a home assessment will follow much the same format as one conducted at an assessment centre.
Your son can decide which room the assessment is held in and who is with him. No special arrangements need to be made - your son doesn't even have to get up and dressed if he would not usually do so.
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your son's PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too

Speak to the assessor at the beginning of the interview, they should allow you to speak but be careful to only respond when your son hasn't, it would be easy for you to be seen as interfering in the assessment process which can lead to it being terminated.
