I have received a letter this morning to advise i need a face to face assesment for my pip claim. i have received higher rate mobility and care for many years now. i have several serious health conditions surviving on 42 tablets a day. I just cant face anymore x

I'm afraid your options are limited, your claim cannot progress until an assessment is carried out.
If it would help then you can try and get a home assessment but you will need your GP to write to the Assessment Provider explaining why you cannot attend at their offices.
You can also try for a paper hearing but you will need to understand what additional information would allow the AP to opt for this and try and provide it.
If you do not attend then you risk your claim being closed, you can cancel one appointment but must attend the second appointment whenever or wherever it is arranged for.

Thank you for replying I am genuinely terrified. Having to justify being so ill is just so stressful. I have always used your website and been so grateful for the helpful advice I just need to have faith in my honesty. For genuine people this system is brutal you do a wonderful job giving us proper help and hope.
