I received a PIP renewal form on 13th January, 2017 which was dated 4th January 2017. I was sceptical about the new renewal form and how little information was required. I completed the form ensuring that I had mentioned all aids I use and how useful or unuseful they were. I also imformed them of any changes to my illness and how that affected me. I posted the form by 'signed for' 2nd class post on 21st January.
On Wednesday 8th February about 6pm I received a phone call from the DWP. The gentleman I spoke to said he was looking at my form and needed to ask me 1 question - How often do you see your orthopaedic surgeon? Today 11th February I received the dreaded brown envelope through the door. Eventually opening the letter to find I have been awarded enhanced rate care and enhanced rate mobility for 4 years.
