Mandatory reconsideration was created by Shelagh12354
After being put in the ESA work group I panicked and started trying to find a job but found nothing suitable. My years benefit ended and I tried to manage, I didn't know what to do. I read about Mandatory Reconsideration, I was way past the one month to apply, my benefit ended in April. In September I decided to attempt a mandatory reconsideration so wrote my letter, I heard nothing for months so phoned, I was told the letter hadnt been sent off, it was received but just sat there!! It was December and I didn't hear anything until getting an appointment for another Physical for 2nd Feb. This time the physical was done by a lovely Doctor instead of a nurse, he understood my problems and told me I would hear in a week or two. Yesterday I logged into my bank account to see how overdrawn I was, I was shocked to see nearly £2,000, I thought I was overdrawn by that amount, then it sank in, I'd been paid!! This morning the letter arrived telling me I'd been put in the support group!! I guess I'm saying, don't give up, even if it's been more than a month write a letter, you may be lucky like me xxxx
