DWP : request data subject access - no response

Hi,
I've made a formal DSAR request, with all of my relevant info & the .gov 'request form'.
I have made many DSAR requests in the past ( GP's Unum etc) so I know what details are required to be enclosed etc.
As per instructions on .gov website, I posted to local job centre.

It was signed for on Dec 15th 2016, but I've heard nothing - not even a confirmation of receipt.

I am concerned as I need this info for my imminent PIP Appeal (no date received yet).

Who do I complain to?
I've emailed ICO today, and the auto response states 'we will get in touch within 14 days'!

Thanks

Hi Me_too,

You have done the right thing in contacting the ICO about the DWP's failure to respond in the allotted time (40 days).

Is the information you want in relation to a current claim, or are you asking for older information as evidence?

If what you are asking for is all relating to your current claim, you will get everything that DWP hold when you get the evidence 'bundle' prior to the Tribunal.

We suggest that you start thinking about your submission now but don't actually write it until you get the bundle. You will then be able to see what DWP have said and rebut their comments in your submission.

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt response, it's relating to a current PIP tribunal.

I have a copy of the documents provided by DWP, upon which they have based their decision, the report made by the health assessor etc.
I'm currently going through it, making some notes so that it may be written up clearly for me (I'm unable to produce the document myself).

I haven't had time recently to have a look at the details on what I should be doing next, they only just arrived this week & im quite limited in what I can do. So far I'm looking at this to document the errors made, which I'm assuming will form my evidence at the tribunal?

Ie. The 'medical assessor hasn't documented this correctly' etc? I have extensive notes of the assessment, as The person with me took lots of notes and made detailed observations (and we knew what to expect).

Are the above documents, received from DWP the 'bundle'?
Is this all the information which they will provide?

What I really want a copy of, is the internal notes on the system (which include notes as to why my request for a local centre was ignored, and a home assessment given instead, and whether they have acknowledged my request for contact by a third party - as that's been an issue as the 3rd party doesn't live with me). A full SAR request.
Im assuming that I will only attain all of this information in a SAR request, as from previous experience companies etc don't openly provide notes & internal emails etc. I'm hoping 'behind the scenes' info may provide more evidence in addition to the documents they have provided.

In a worst case senario, it isn't the end of the world if the SAR isn't fulfilled before the tribunal, but owing to experience I'm sure that I would be in a better position with all the info in my hands.

Going back to my original question, is there any other person/department I can contact to make a complaint the SAR hasn't been acknowledged? Other than a formal complaint to the same office who haven't dealt with it in the first instance?

Thanks

Your problem is that it is almost impossible to contact anyone directly in the DWP; names, addresses and phone numbers are not published.

The Best that I can suggest is that you contact the "Data Protection Officer" at the office that you sent the SAR to. Include a copy of the original SAR but make sure that is marked as a copy.
