Just a little worried DLA to PIPS

HI Everyone this morning I got a letter telling me that my DLA is running out soon from March 10TH (Hvae no end date and I need to make my mind up weather to stay on DLA or apply for PIPS this is very worrying as I dont see my doctor much because I get the feeling I am wasting his time .
Please can anyone tell me is this going to be a long drawn out thing or is it quite easy to get through. i`m going to have to do the PIPS what ever i think

If anyone out there has any advice please let me know,

As you say, you don't have a lot of choice, your DLA award would end in 1 month if you do not apply for PIP.

PIP was deliberately made more difficult to get than DLA, so there are people who will be worse off as a result of the switch.

Some members have found the whole process takes only a couple of months, others have waited much longer.

If you have a long term condition you probably have found ways of coping with the little things. You must try and remember how things were before so you fill in and apply descriptors in a "raw" form ie. as through it has just happened. Many people forget or dismiss little or embarassing things. Think of it as your chance to get the help you need to lead the best life you can

So I have also been told tell them new stuff as well like I have other stuff like a grumbling gallbladder been up the hospital for that on new years eve, I also need another operation for something else is this right I have loads of stuff to show them from that,ie Dates letters and so on

Sorry to say but the DWP don't much care what your medical conditions are.The basics of PIP is how your conditions affect daily activities. Concentrate on how you fulfill the descriptors, its not what you don't do but what help or assistance you need to complete the activity to the best possible standard
