Baffling 20 minute ESA reassessment??? was created by So Tired
I recently had to undergo a WCA (currently in ESA Support group). The physio doing it asked me almost nothing and it was done in less than 20 minutes. At the end she went off to phone the decision maker. I did manage to establish that an ?E113 form had been sent to my GP. What does the brevity of the assessment mean? I'm guessing it's either very good or very bad news. Anyone else had such an experience?

ESA assessors are told to check with a senior assessor if they believe a claimant meets one of the Support Group Descriptors, so it could be this, but I'm afraid there are no guarantees.

Thank you Gordon. Since I wasn't given the opportunity to describe my disabilities - basically they asked me one question - ONE!, surely this is a problem if I'm denied continued support?

I've seen the worst assessment result in the highest award and the best lead to no award at all.

I'm afraid you will have to wait and see what happens. ESA Decision are currently taking 2-3 weeks.

To anyone else baffled by a brief and cursory WCA for ESA - one day after posting my question here I got the answer in the post. I have been kept in the Support Group, so the decision had clearly pretty much been made before I attended, based on a form they sent to my GP. Whew - I have been treated fairly. I hope others are as fortunate.
