As someone who has just had their first PIPS assessment and received a copy of the assessors report (you can ask for a copy) but not yet received their result it immediately struck me that the level of accuracy due to false statement, omitting crucial facts given during interview and unsubstantiated assumptions was nothing more than criminal. It is a criminal offence to submit false evidence to the DLA or PIPS and as such that surely works both ways for the claimant and the assessor but how can we make them accountable?
A group of MP's are currently in the process of reviewing complaints from disabled people who have had false claims made by their PIPS assessors so this is the perfect time for us to make our own reports to our MPs regarding the accuracy of the PIPS assessments.
Whether your claim was successful or not this is the best time to write to your local MP to bring it to their any inaccuracies that you experienced from your PIPS assessment with as much detail as you can because change cannot happen without action on a large scale.
We might be disabled or sick but we are still human beings with rights and this is something that can really make a difference

Definitely agree.
We had to request Atos report 4 times and by the time we received it it had gone over the deadline for requesting mand recon, so we had to send our mand recon request without knowledge of the report content.
We wrote to our MP who is trying to find out why we had to request it 4 times and sent him a copy of everything that was wrong in the Atos report when we got a copy.
MPs need to know what is going on. So many peoples lives are being ruined.

I'm involving my Mp With my failed Pip award. She's lied and misconstrued everything and played down my symptoms
