If I got an appointment somewhere I've never been I would panic and not know how to get to a place or who could definitely get me there because I couldn't always rely on public transport? Or as ime not very mobile how long it would take me to get there
I was taking your original post literally, you said "my wife plans all the journeys", the implication is that you do not do this, you will not score points for this, however, if the reason that your wife plans your routes is because you cannot do this your self then you may, but you need to explain why this is the case.
I realise these sound very similar but there is a world of difference between your saying that you don't and you can't.

No, not at all!
Planning a journey is an activity in itself, it could be walking to the local shops, driving to a friend in the same town or from London to Edinburgh, there is no requirement for you to be able to follow that route.
What is being tested is your ability to plan a reasonable route, using a map or similar as necessary. This is primarily a cognitive test although claimants with sensory issues may also struggle.

Did you explain on your PIP2 why you cannot plan a route?
All of the issues that you have raised are to do with you following the route and not with planning it.

You need to re-visit your PIP2 to make sure that you have explained why you cannot reliably and on the majority of days plan a route.
