Hi, i had my pip from dla medical at home about 3 weeks ago, i was a little worried while it was happening as every time she asked me a question it was a closed question but i was armed with the knowledge from ur web site and made sure i said yes but and filled her in with a full answer. My biggest consern was as soon as the first couple of sentences had come out of my mouth she started typing and appeared not to be listening , though i pressed on giving my full and complete answers. After the 2 weeks were up i asked dwp for my copie and i was right hp had only recorded first couple of sentences. There were 32 mistakes on the form the most serious of which were i ttold her i had had condition for 24yrs and she recorded it as i had had condition since 2012! And when recording who lived in my house she said my 6 granddaughter was my daughter. I am 60yrs old! She talked about how slowly and in obvious pain i walked and then went on to say that as i was no longer seeing a specialist i should be able to walk 50 -200mtrs ! My dla says i am vertualy unable to walk, i can only manage 7mtrs before i have to rest with increased pain.. Unfortunately the dwp didn't look very hard as the medical form and just went with what she said so got 4 points for mobility .. i have asked for mandatory reconsideration, waiting reply.. that was a week ago now today got letter from esa to say they want appointment to reassess my benifit! I am so stressed

Welcome to the forum.

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

It can be tempting to just go with the problems in the report but this won't lead to an award, you need to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria to score the points you need for the award you believe you should receive.

To be clear I'm not saying to ignore the report but the assessor mistaking your grand daughter for your daughter is not going to help you score points.

I would recommend that you go through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to make sure that have met the requirements of the Descriptors. Make sure you have used "reliably" and "on the majority of days where applicable and be careful, some of the Descriptors have multiple elements and you must meet all of them to score the points.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

you need to forget the mistakes on the report and concentrate on proving that the descriptors and therefore the points awarded are inaccurate
