Thank you for that I think what is probably the case is that the DWP can assume that a clasimant might be functional to a failing descriptor level if tyhey were accepting treatment.

I suppose some fairly major assumptions would be stretched there. Because if a unmedicated case it cannot be known whether medicatio n would succeed , whether the individual would tolerate and remain compliant.

In my case good basis has been provided for why not and it hasnt affe cted the last decades of being on the various benefits but I take it that the main thing is to attack assumptions pre emptively preferably with explicit medical confirmation
