child with aspergers claiming PIP was created by Jacquie Maitchell
is there anyone with any experience of having a child with Asperger's having to change from DLA to PIP? I'm going to an appeal hearing in April and am desperate for any advice! Help!!!
He was getting higher level DLA for care and lower rate for mobility, now 0 points for PIP!!!!

The most obvious comments are that your son was assessed under DLA and he is now being assessed as an adult and of course that the PIP criteria are fundamentally different from the DLA ones, as is the assessment process.

Lastly, Higher Rate Care was awarded because your son had care needs both day an night, PIP does not consider (directly) when the claimant has problems, so many claimants with HRC will struggle to receive the same under PIP.

You need to show that he meets the criteria for the PIP activities. What did you hope to score points for?
