Good news but then a disappointment.. was created by Probation789
Hi, a few weeks ago my granddaughter received her decision and was placed in the WRAG. I sent in letter with a request for reconsideration mentioning two areas. Within a week she received a revised decision and was placed in the Support Group which is wonderful news.

She should have attended a F2F for PIP on 2nd February but it was cancelled two hours before. Today we attended for the re-arranged F2F. She was assessed by a nice mental health nurse but soon after starting the meeting the nurse informed me that I would have to fill her in as she had not had sight of the PIP2 or lengthy accompanying pages which I had attached, neither had she been sent the Diagnosis and Care Plan. I enquirer if she wold get a chance to see them before completing her assessment and she told me that No, she would not.

We were at the meeting for one hour and answered all her queries. However, on returning home, I realised so very much.relevant information had not even been touched on and I now feel I have let my granddaughter down. Should she fail to be transferred from DLA to PIP, can I do anything about the "file" not being sent to assessor beforehand. Thank you for reading.

Wobbly legs

If you need to go to MR or appeal then the fact that they had not had sight of and would not have sight of her PIP2 is something you should raise and would be an advantage, however, you would need to play your hand carefully, as pressing too much can undermine the report too much and force the DWP to either have it revised with the PIP2 taken into account or even for a new assessment to be held. It's perfectly possible (unfortunately) that a similar failing report could be produced and you have lost some of the advantage you would have on the original one.

You should be able to get a copy of the report by contacting the DWP office that is dealing with her claim.

Thank you Gordon for your helpful advice (as usual) on how to go forward. I will wait until I have seen the assessors report and will, more than likely, have to trouble you again. Hoping though that she got her own insight into my granddaughters difficulties, she did seem very caring and efficient. We'll see what happens. Thank you.

Grandaughter had her DLA to PIP assessment on 20/02/17 but as of today not received decision. As mentioned in earlier post, the HP had not received her PIP2 and accompanying documents, only one page of her copy prescription list. I rang 2 weeks ago to request copy of Assessment. Nothing received and today rang again to be told it would be with us within a few days. I have a sinking feeling that the decision may have been delayed until after 16th. Will have to wait another few agonising days.

Hi again, have submitted MR for failed PIP (7 points DL, 4 points mobility). No decision yet but not hopeful at this stage, maybe appeal will be more advantageous. However, please can you throw any light on another problem. Grandaughter was placed in SG from WRAG ater MR but today have received appointment to attend WRA at JC in two weeks. Has she been put back in WRAG because of refused PIP? Cannot understand what is happening, feel dizzy going round in circles. Thank you for reading.
