Letter from Job Centre for help getting back to wo was created by MissyG
Seeking advice please!
I claim PIP, husband is my carer. He claims income support, housing benefit and council tax help as well as Carers allowance.
Husband has been sent a letter saying that I need to go to Job Centre for an interview about getting help for me to get back to work now we have been receiving benefits for just over 6 months. I received a similar letter.
What's it all about? I can't even walk further than my front door and have other illnesses that leave me completely zonked.
I'm worried sick!

I'm afraid this is standard for Income Related benefits such as Income Support, partners of the main claimant will be regularly invited to attend at their JC+.
You can ask for an accommodation under the Equality Act, to have it held over the phone, deferred or even cancelled if the advisor is satisfied that there would be no value to you in it being held, but as it is the first one you may have to attend.
Be aware that failing to do so can effect your husband's payments.
If you do then they usually last about 10 minutes, they cannot require you to do anything including your seeking work.
