DLA to pip papers was created by lild
Hi I'm filling in pip form, if I have dr/consultant letters with a diagnosis or symptoms if they can't fathom out what's wrong, should I include with the pip form or just take to the medical assessment.
I have various conditions some Dr letters are yrs old such as spinal, which after physio pain consultants acupuncture over the yrs c im just on strong meds back under GP care
I no longer mention my spine, as they can't do anything, I'm always on my crutches
I don't want to drown them with papers so what should I include or not
Thanks

Only you can decide this, if you think that the documents will help your claim then consider including them, if you don't then maybe don't.
AS a general rule, the older the information the less weight it will carry, exceptions to this are letters with a diagnosis and those that mention limitations, providing your conditions are ones not likely to improve.
As an aside, if you don't mention the impact your spine has on your daily activities they can't take it into account.
Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The DWP are not so much interested in your medical history, only how it impacts on the things you can and cannot do. Concentrate on how you fit the various descriptors. Most people with long term conditions have ways of coping and often don't take into account the little things that are relevant. Denial of a problem that helps you live from day to day is common, but for PIP, you need to bring everything to the table, warts and all.
