PIP2 form preparing food was created by angel*1
Dear mods
Hi to all.
I'm just starting to do a rough draft of my daily living activities-'Preparing food' and have a question.
For Q3a and Q3b, I'm not sure what to put. I don't actually cook as such and can only do quick meals, ready made for the majority of time. I have difficulty due to fatigue, pain and disability in hands/lower arms lifting and carrying. Do I answer 'yes' to both and then explain that I don't cook or prepare food from scratch? I don't currently have a chair/stool and cannot stand for any length of time. Even with a perching stool, I would still not be cooking a meal from scratch. If someone were to 'help' me, they would essentially be cooking the meal for me.
I do sometimes use a small pan to boil things but have difficulty doing so. I currently get lower care DLA for not being able to prepare or cook a meal.
Cheers guys

By answering "yes" you are actually saying that you can cook!
If you are struggling with the tick boxes then mark the "see below" and answer the questions in the comment box or attached pages.

Oh dear! It just shows how confusing filling out the forms can be. I will just put 'N/A' on both and then 'see Q3c', where I can explain in detail.
Thanks for that. I'll just have to remember that you don't have to tick the boxes if they don't apply.
Cheers Gordon
