HELP WITH PIP APPEAL TO TRIBUNAL FOR AGORAPHOBIA was created by KP1
Hi All,
Can anyone please advise or help? I thought i had my appeal all ready to submit to a PIP tribunal, until i heard the news about the changes coming into force on 16th March. I used to get lower rate mobility DLA which was stopped in January when i was assessed for PIP. At my PIP assessment i was awarded 4 points for 'need prompting planning & following a journey".
I suffer from Agoraphobia, Claustrophobia and panic attacks, and have done for the last 38 years. I am only able to go out of the house accompanied by a close relative. When i am able to leave the house it is only to travel within a very small radius around my home to my sister's home or the local shop ie: within a few streets. I always use my own car as i can't be a passenger in anyone else's and i can't use any form of public transport or taxi's. I've undergone all forms of therapy including medication, psychiatric, CBT, counselling and hypnotherapy, but still suffer with these conditions which severely restrict and limit my life. I can't mix with people, can't cope with crowds, can't go out and socialise and when i do manage to go out in my car it has to be at certain times of day when there is very little or no traffic.
Now these changes have been announced i really don't know what to say in my appeal as i was going to quote the decisions of the Upper Tribunal, but these are the very ones which have been effectively 'wiped out'. Can anyone offer any advice please? It would be really appreciated as i have to submit the appeal by 6th March.
Thanks.

The changes do not apply to Decision made before 16 March, so don't worry about them.
