Hello. Hope you can help. My husband is very concerned over the new PIP laws as I am sure most people are. He has a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder and is currently receiving PIP and contribution based ESA. He receives CBT and is on eight medications that I administer as he has attempted suicide several times in the past. Under the new laws and rules will he be denied PIP and ESA when his assessments are up for renewal? Kindest.

The changes simply re-instate the DWP guidance that existed before two Upper Tier Tribunals made their Decision, so in effect nothing has changed, so there is no reason to assume his PIP and certainly not his ESA will be affected.
