Just rang Capita - they have confirmed that the report is still with the Assessor!

Maybe she has a backlog? :(

Rang DWP this afternoon, the assessors report was sent out to us yesterday, it had been received in their office on 22/03 - we were told that it should be with us in 7 - 10 days?? I did wonder how it had been dispatched and came to the conclusion that it must be by tortoise!

The agent confirmed that they had 'accepted' the assessors report and were now reading it with the evidence we supplied, it would take another couple of days to come to a decision, that I would receive a text message confirming that a decision had been made. He said to give them a call back on Tuesday next week if we hadn't heard anything - he did mention that they would then be able to have a discussion about any decision - Monday, is apparently, a bad day as they are extremely busy and less likely to give you time - well, I suppose he was being honest!! :O

So for anyone interested in timescales, up to now this has taken 2 weeks, 6 days from the F2F appointment, and 6 weeks from submission of documents/evidence, (still on schedule for the 2 - 4 week appearance of the brown envelope)

Hi Sheila,
My husband's assessment was the same date as yours, I rang DWP today as he is still waiting for his report, capita told me last week that they sent his assessment to the DWP on the 15th march, DWP told me today that they received it on the 22nd March and that a decision will be made next week.They are sending report out to me today, that will probably take a week until we receive that.

Hi Judy, Hopefully the post is as quick as it was for us, (see below).

We received the report this afternoon - My daughter was assessed as 14 points for care and 16 points for mobility - by the (Nurse), Assessor.

The report is a little inaccurate in places, with a major mistake stating that my daughter wrote the Harry Potter books! .................. I'm sure J K Rowling might have something to say about that!

We now have to wait for the DWP interpretation of that report, our PIP form and the evidence supplied. I am not sure how much notice the DWP will take of the assessors report that would effectively put my daughter on higher rate in both care & mobility - she currently receives higher care and lower mobility.

We will see next week..............

Just to say that we are yet to receive the official letter but yesterday I rang for an update on my daughters claim (DLA To PIP)

I was informed that on 30th March a decision had been made to award her enhanced rate in both categories (for a five year period) - that a letter would be with us soon.

The DWP operator also told me to check out the .GOV Site for any other benefits my daughter would now be entitled to, I said I didn't think any, as she worked (minimum wage) for 29 hours a week;

She told me that she would more than likely be eligible for working tax credits, the blue badge scheme, (now that would be a god send for her) and tax exemption on the vehicle we use to drive her about in, as a minimum!

All in all a worrying time that has ended well, for now. (Yes, I still have my gripes as to why anything would need reviewing in 5 years - she will never be cured, she will never 'get better' or the fact that there were various inconsistencies in the Assessors report)

I can honestly say, despite being an educated person, used to report writing, I would not have been able to convey/express my daughters needs as well if It had not been for the invaluable help provided by this site, Guides, Moderators, Forums & the Members experiences - Thank you to all
