ESA WCA was created by quartz88
Hi there,
I've been in receipt of ESA since 2010 and I'm placed in the support group category.
Recently, the DWP sent a ESA50 WCA form, requesting that I complete it within a month's time. Why have they sent this? The letter doesn't explain why. Is this the norm?
I'm also not sure if a mistake has been made as the last time I completed such a form was back when I actually first applied for this benefit (i.e. I haven't had to regularly fill one in).
I'm apprehensive about whether they are questioning my eligibility for ESA and I'm feeling quite stressed about filling in these applications as I also have to apply for the PIP at the same time (they're moving me from DLA). Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

All ESA claims are reassessed on a regular basis, if you have not been since 2010 then you have been lucky as the normal period for the SG is three years.

This is a full reassessment of your claim so you need to complete the ESA50 in detail and provide evidence to support your claim even if you have supplied it before.

The ESA criteria will have changed since you originally applied so please make sure that use the latest ESA Claim guides to help you with the form.
