Hi
I have been on ESA WRAG for quite a few years now, in the past I would have to go in around every 2 years or so and have a talk at the job centre, the woman there would just inform me of any back to work schemes they had running basically. Just before Christmas I had another talk at the job centre with a new woman and in a different area but it seems more work focused this time, I've had to do a C.V and think about what jobs I would and wouldn't like to do and now she is basically looking for a job for me. I haven't worked for a long time so I think she wants me to get some experience, I expect it would be unpaid, I mentioned I can't use public transport so she is looking at places close by I can cycle to. Do I have to do this? She mentioned something about them "cracking down harder" on people I believe. I'm also in the middle of an ESA review, I have done the questionnaire with help of this site and have a f2f interview next week.

You cannot be asked to work or to seek work while you are receiving ESA, but they can ask you to do some "work experience", this must take into account an limitations that you have into account.
