Hi
I am currently on low rate of care for daily tasks I waited a year to go to tribunal but I won but only got low rate of pip and only 4 points for moving around my question is about medical information I submitted a letter from my go saying that he had read the information I had put down and that though he hasn't actually seen me doing these tasks he would expect me to have the problems I am having with the conditions I have When o had face to face with atos they said they couldn't use that evidence because my gp hadn't seen me do the daily tasks other than I use crutches and walking I am now requesting that they look at my claim again ( I will be due for another assessment soon anyway. )as I feel I should be on higher rate of care and high rate of mobility the tribunal said I could ask for it to be looked at again because they only took it from the year before and I hadn't been diagnosed with some of my conditions but now I have is there any point again asking for a gp report Again as my doctor charges for a letter but if dwp are not going to look. At it is there any point because I don't see how a doctor would ever be able to put other than what Illnesses I have and how they are likely to affect me he wouldn't see you trying to dress or cook. That is unless I invite him round for dinner ok plus I have just changed gp too as moved to different area

Your GP has gone further than most by saying that your problems with the PIP activities were consistent with your conditions. How old is this letter?

Your post indicates that your conditions have worsened since the original Decision was made, this doesn't mean that you will receive a higher award. I would go through the PIP Claim guide to see what extra points you might score and whether this is sufficient for an increased award, be harsh with your marking as the DWP will.

If you reasonably believe that you can score the points for a higher award then you should think about notifying the DWP of a deterioration in your condition, Be aware that this will result in a full reassessment of your claim, new PIP2 and likely a face to face assessment.

Thanks for your advice I have more conditions now that are affecting me too most of them have been since middle of last year I now live in sheltered accommodation that has been modified for me which was advised by occupational therapists as it wasn't safe for me but really any consideration to any letters they are going to say no to because its hear say from people treating you unless they are directly involved in your care like... careers that have to dress you or someone that sees you and cooks for you they don't even take into consideration your spouse but the paperwork has gone now to them so will wait see what happens.
