hi ,had letter to go for a face to face assessment ,have mobility problems and also incontinent bladder . my doctor wrote asking for dwp if I could have a home visit,as Iit was difficult for me . they sent a letter back refusing the home visit ,,,,,I have full care and full mobility pip ,bit this is for the old incapacity benefit ,I'm 63 with other health probs aswell ,am I being forced to go when I could wet myself in public where is my dignity ,the stress and anxiety is making me feel worse,the worlds gone mad x

Did you see the GP letter? If it said it would be difficult for you then this is likely the problem, the letter needs to make if clear that you cannot attend at their offices.

If this was the case, can you get your GP to write a new, more suitable letter?

sent more paperwork in ,my assessment was on Monday ,so I had to go,,my hubby had to stop on the way there as I felt so unwell ,when I arrived my daughter had to sign my form ,,,,,when I went in with the doctor she said ,I need to ask you about your stroke ,,,,,,,,what stroke I replied , the one you had in 2011 she said ,both myself and my hubby was shocked to learn I had had a stroke ,she had the paperwork infront of her ,so she asked had the dwp had this paper work,i replied yes ,,,she informed me that I needed to see a specialist doctor ,and sent me home ,I have now received a letter today 24th satying that I have no need to attend as I will now have a home appointment ,,only5 days late ,and as for these strokes ....I shall now be seeking advice .thank you x
