If someone is in receipt of DLA after reaching retirement age, will they still be transferred over to PIP?

Everyone on DLA who was under the age of 65 years in April 2013 will be 'invited' to claim PIP at some stage, even if they are past State Pension Age by this time.

As the regulations stand you can if you wish claim Attendence Allowance insstead of PIP even if you lose entitlement to DLA or PIP.

However if you are in receipt of the Mobility componant for DLA and if you meet the criterior for PIP mobility this should be paid even after retiremewnt age. So it may be worth while appealing a PIP failiure in this case (I.E. was receiving DLA Mobility)

If you were over the age of 65 in april 2013 and you are on indefinate DLA, but not on highest rate, If you believe that your needs have now changed, would a change of circumstance mean a PIP assessment or would you stay on DLA ?

Claimants who were 65 on or before 8 April 2013 cannot claim PIP, so it would be a DLA reassessment.
