Carers Allowance stopped going from DLA to PIP was created by Guendoloena
My husband's Carers Allowance mysteriously stopped being paid at the end of January - haven't asked them why yet, but I'm wondering if this is related to my son's DLA payments ending because he is now receiving PIP? Does my husband have to re-apply for Carers Allowance? He didn't get any notification about it from DWP. Thank you

He should not need to make a new claim, but he should have contacted the Carers Unit when he was notified of the PIP award.

Thank you Gordon - he has contacted DWP now and they have restarted his payments. I guess it makes sense, but would have been helpful to be told about this by the DWP when the PIP letter came through! Many thanks for your help.
