PIP was created by Susuan
Hi I have been on PIP for nearly 2 years and I've had the letter about it coming to an end. I phoned _ realised now I should have left it a few weeks but they have sent me forms for a new claim. Is this right because I see on this site where it talks about PIP review and being able to answer no change for the answers but I have no option for this. I had to go to tribunal for my last claim and am worried that by filling in a new claim where my old history won't be seen that I will be awarded less than I am getting now even though my condition has not changed and will not change in the future.

Hi Susie,

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

We see this occasionally and there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to who gets a new claim form, who gets the review form etc. I'm afraid you have no alternative but to go through the process again.

We always advice members to treat every reassessment as if it was a new claim and answer all questions in detail. This includes sending in supporting evidence, even if DWP already have it.

Our PIP guides will help you through.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thanks for your response. I have just over 2 weeks to complete the form and will send in the same evidence as I sent before which does seem a complete waste of time but know that I will have to do it. I was only awarded my PIP at tribunal and hope that it doesn't come to that again. I find the form filling and whole process very stressful which makes my condition worse but the DWP don't seem to care about that!
