I've just received the following reply:

The Nottingham Resource team have advised me that your case has been reviewed by a Healthcare Professional and advice has now been provided to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) without the need for you to undergo a face to face work capability assessment on this occasion.

Your benefit file is now being returned to the DWP for the attention of the Decision Maker, who will review all of the available information, decide on your entitlement to benefit and inform you of the outcome of your claim for ESA in due course.

Any further enquiries about your claim should be directed to the DWP if you have not heard from them in the next couple of weeks, they can be contacted on: 0345 608 8545.

Am I just about home and dry? What options does the Decision Maker have now? How likely that HP decision will be upheld.

You cannot be found Fit for Work without your attending a face to face assessment, but you will have to wait and see whether you are in the WRAG or the SG. It would be extraordinarily unusual for the DWP to return your file for a face to face to be done.

Hi again, it's 18 days since email below. How much longer is it likely to take for DM to send verdict. I've always been in SG, hopefully I won't be put in WRAG? I don't want to ring DWP but it's passed the two weeks now.

Hi Liam,

We are hearing of ESA decisions taking a few weeks in many areas.

Contacting DWP will not make any difference to the decision - but you can wait it out if you prefer as your ESA will continue to be paid at the current level until a new decision is entered onto your computer records.

Finally received letter today (dated 23/03/17) stating that I remain in the SG. It's taken 5 months and thankfully I wasn't required to attend a f2f. So, I was required to be reassessed after some 18 months after my initial application. The letter today is almost identical to the one I received in June 2015, neither have indicated how long before I'll be reassessed again? I've written repeatedly to them asking for clarification but never get a reply! This site advises that reassessments are typically every 3 years.
My queries are, is it typical that I've been reassessed after only 18 months? Also, could this happen again, or will I be left for longer? On both occasions my GP was asked to provide evidence. I used B&W guides this time but not initially. I was very thorough.
If I ring DWP how likely would they tell me how long until next reassessment? Also will they have completed any medical report re their decision that I can request a copy of?
