Called DWP today to ask when I was next due to be assessed . Got a particularly unhelpful advisor who advised I should call Maximus! I tried to explain that it was the date on the system when I am due to be reviewed for a WCA. He then got the info up on the screen, and told me what I already knew, that I had been put into the Support Group for a year. So I am non the wiser, as that info would still be there even if the date of the next assessment had been deferred.

Also, when calling the number you gave, there is no longer a list of options given out, but you have to say why you are calling and it directs you to what the robot thinks is the right department.

I suppose I will have to try again another time and hope I get someone who is a bit more knowledgeable.

Hiya,

Well, altho I had my fingers crossed, and hoped they were going to defer my next ESA Assessment which was due Oct 2016. This morning the thud on the mat and hey ho there it is to be completed and returned by the 26th April.
Lovely 60th Birthday pressie.
It does babble on about not paying for any GP/Consultant letters info or requiring previous info as they have it all. Lies lies and dam lies as we know. So I shall complete it with all the info I have and add the latest PIP report which is of help and use the letter from my GP for a home assessment for the PIP last year rather than wasting her time to redo it for ESA and trust that will suffice.

I was put in the ESA SG August 2013 and was due to be re-assessed August 2016. As I've heard nothing, I plucked up the courage to call them last week and the chap told me he's no idea when this is likely to happen. Very helpful! So I still live in dread of the brown envelope arriving ...

Wonder if it's worth calling again - any advice ?

Hi M59,

Ringing the ESA Call Centre should not instigate your reassessment.

THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)

You can simply ask them what date is on your file for your next reassessment, they should have this on-screen.

Of course, whether to ring or not is your decision.
