Gordon,
Will ESA access the PIP info through the DWP systems? Just thinking about the newsletter article regarding the 2 benefits sharing info.

Thank you

It's unclear what access to information the assessor and Decision Maker have to information from another benefit, whether it is physically included in the claimants file or accessible through the computer systems.

I think it unlikely the assessor will have electronic access as this would require them to have physical access to the DWP systems which seems unlikely from an assessment centre.

Hello again,
A couple of things to ask , my apologies I am completely new to all this and I am so surprised at what a minefield it is.
I was putting all my ESA letters in order and on the first one it says I am to be paid ESA (CB) from Dec 16 at the rate £ 73........ then in December 17 it would be £69 as I will have used up my 365 days....isn't this a bit misleading as after 365 days it stops? Ive not had any assessment yet, so a little confused.

Also yesterday I received a Rheumatology letter saying my recent blood tests indicate that some of my medication needs increasing....Do I send a copy to DWP/ESA? can I get it scanned? and will it go straight onto my file?....Is it best to post and supply an explanatory letter for it to be part of my eas50 information.
Regards
C

If your ESA(CB) is going to be time limited have you checked whether you are eligible for Income Related ESA? ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset rule for ESA(IR)

You should also consider contacting your MP, the DWP can prioritise your assessment, but they won't do this unless persuaded to do so.

Contacting your MP

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)

Your file is currently with Maximus so I would actually send the information to them in preference, I would also take a copy of any additional information to any assessment you might have.
