The new PIP rules on mobility was created by mosala
Do you know if any bodies will be fighting against the new rules to disregard psychological distress on mobility component? Surely, this is mental discrimination and the Government cannot be allowed to get away with this?

Also, will the people who have already been awarded mobility on psychological distress grounds now lose their PIP benefit?

There are some contacts in the updated news item about the changes

No existing awards will not be affected until they are reassessed.

I have already told them, before 16 March, that I want to appeal because of psychological distress. I am waiting for the papers to arrive.

Seeing as I started the appeal process before 16th March, will I stand a chance of getting PIP mobility on the grounds of psychological distress! Probably a daft question!

I have OCD and my going out results in hours of rituals afterwards and extra expenses. The trips take an unreasonable time to complete. A trip cannot be reliably planned as it is actually impossible to guarantee a trip free from my triggers. Can I still appeal on these grounds instead of the psychological distress angle I had planned to appeal on?

The critical thing is that the Decision being appealed was made before the 16th so I see no issue with you arguing your case.
