ESA renewal was created by Shula
HI, can I ask also a couple of questions re ESA renewal here, as it belongs to this topic?

I have to return my ESA50 by the 5th April and I have not even started yet. I have still the full copy of my ESA50 form from August 2013 (moving in from high incapacity back then) and where I was put straight into the SG due to my deteriorating MD condition.
I am getting panic attacks at the sheer sight of the form, and my carer is getting depressed.
He had to support me just last year through the double trauma of house move and moving from DLA to PIP. In August the ATOS assessor came round to my house and the result of her criminal assessment was I lost my motabilty car and had to take tranquilisers. That finally had prompted my new GP to write a letter last October which must have had some impact at the PIP MR stage and I was given the higher rate of both care and motability component without having to go to a tribunal.

I had just started to recover from the trauma of the PIP process and getting a car again just before Christmas, and now this letter (the white envelope of which fooled me too!).
It is bad enough to have a progressive deteriorating condition, to have to constantly tell about it is mentally and emotionally debilitating.

Please can someone advise as to what I need to look out for now with this new round of ESA.
in 2013 I had 10 supporting letters. I still have them. Shall I resend them? I have less contact with people now than back then, and so much less energy.

What is the situation with the UC? Will it affect me, how and when, too, in context with ESA?
I am single, and can only function with a carer staying with me. This is why I had to move last year. I have the letters of the doctors from last year for the PIP and meanwhile also have walking and bathing aids.

I was a nervous wreck in 2013 when doing the ESA50, and nearly suicidal last year after the ATOS assessor's 'work' left me housebound without a car. I also had a car crash last month which left my drivers confidence shaken (I have been crash free all my life so far!). I am now more than ever terrified at the thought of the effect yet another ATOS assessment can have on me and want to do my utmost in the week I have left to fill that form in.

What is different from the one in 2013? How is situation for me with UC? I have so far refused to give UC a thought cause there is a limit with what more bad news I feel I can cope.

Thank you for your time reading all the above and for giving me advice as to how I can stop panicking at the thought of another inhuman medical assessment looming, but rather fill this form in now in for best results.

reaching pension age in less than 4 weeks! What now? Help!

I have moved your post to its own topic, the subject may have been the same but the advice I might need to give almost certainly would not be!

To try and answer your questions.

Don't worry about Universal Credit. it's not an issue for ESA claimants at the moment.

There were changes to the ESA Descriptors and Regulations at the beginning of 2013, so the assessment criteria may be different now from when you were last assessed, so you need to use the latest ESA Claim guides to help you complete the form.

I know the form can seem daunting, try and break filling it in down to more manageable steps, perhaps you could start by making some simple notes about the problems you have with each activity. Then try to make it a sentence, a paragraph, etc. Work in time slots that allow you to make reasonable progress but which do not over stretch you.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
