PIP tribunal hearing - learning disability was created by N.
Hello,
Because of learning disability, the claimant is not able to understand the concept of distance. They have mobility issues that they would like the PIP tribunal panel to consider. However, they are not able to state the distance they are able to walk unaided. Any idea how to work around this for appeal submission?
They're also facing another challenge; their GP refuses to write further medical evidence regarding mobility issues unless they pay, which they cannot afford to do. Is it the correct assumption that the panel won't consider the mobility issues without medical evidence?

At there any distances that they do understand, perhaps the length of their garden or to somewhere outside, you could then measure this distance. Alternatively measure a set distance out and see if they can retain the information, perhaps do it next to some parked cars so that they use them as a reference, so many cars equals so many metres.
