Hi All
My son is 19 and is on the Autistic Spectrum and just been re-assessed to move from dla to Pip. I followed all the advice on this forum when filling in the form but he's gone from Higher Rate of Care and Higher Rate of mobility to just Standard Care pip. I am finding the thought of having to go through all the appeals process so daunting. Is there anyone I can go to fo support and help through this process? Thanks in advance

Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
Please be aware, DLA HRC was awarded for fundamentally different reasons than the Enhanced Rate of PIP, if you want to request an MR do it because you believe that he should have scored the 12 points needed for a PIP Enhanced award, not because he previously had HRC,
If you want assistance with the MR, then just reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

Thanks for the advice Gordon, I will try again with them, it just seems that you have to keep repeating yourself to them constantly
