Hi all,

Well after 4 weeks of waiting after my face to face meeting, the dreaded brown envelope arrived, whilst physically shaking I opened the letter to read that I have been awarded enhanced Motability for almost 5 years !!!! (Feb 2022) - I get to keep my car and can now hopefully start to relax after the months of stress.

Would just like to thank everyone here for their support and advice. Especially the people that have sent me personal messages on here and via FB.

I was certain I was going to lose my car and become pretty much housebound. I'm still in shock and so happy that it's over for at least the next few years.

After reading the decision report I would like to pass on a few tips which may help other people.

1 make sure you read all the guides here they help a lot
2 make sure you mention everything on the form as every little helps.

3 my decision report they disagreed with a number of things I had put down as I had no proof / written backup. So take photos of any adjustments in the house - e.g. Grab rails. and take copies of all hospital letters and reports that mention your health conditions.

4. Use an app like Scannable (iPhone) to take good quality copies of all letters etc. That way you can quickly show them if needed and is less risk of losing / damaging originals.

5. If possible keep electronic copies of letters etc on the "cloud" e.g. Dropbox in case your computer breaks

6. Create an I.C.E. sheet that lists all your medications , doses and what they are for. The physio at my face to face found it very helpful

7. Lastly take copies of hospital letters etc with you to face to face to backup any conditions especially if you have new ones since you sent the form back

Good luck to everyone applying, and thanks to everyone for your help and support.

Take care

Pete.
