Hi Brens,

The assessor will concentrate on areas where additional information is needed. Perhaps s/he didn't need to ask about your walking.

Thank you I did wonder if it was a question always asked.
I seemed to have quite random questions.
I was asked if I had a mobile phone, I answered yes because I do but failed to say it is a 2003 Motorola that travels with me with "in case of emergency" numbers in it . I can only use it if I press the green button twice that connects to my husband.
I couldn't think straight enough to answer cohesively and questions were coming thick and fast.

I was asked if I owned the vehicle I have had adapted ?
I can't see this having any relevance to my claim.
I was asked do I always wear slippers. They are a traditional shape with backs and are sheepskin they keep my feet warm and are easier to put on than shoes. I was concerned about the time as it was a 9 am appointment my shoes were put in a bag in the van but didn't get changed as it was more important not to be late or to rush.
Would it be of any help to put more of the questions I was asked ?
Please can you remind me when I can ring for a copy of the assessors report. It was last Tuesday.

You should be able to contact the DWP office dealing with your claim this week to request a copy.

Thanks Gordon the assessment report arrived in 3 days of my requesting it.
Are you able to tell me if the points in the report for the daily living that for me totalled 14 are they just a recommendation or are these the basis of my award ?
