PiP review was created by Nisha007
hi

last week i requested a review of my pip assesment as the assessor falsified my answers and awarded me no mobility whereas i have spinal disability and she awarded me daily award only. previously submitted all medical and gp confirmed everything yet they still awarded me nothing on my mobility when i have been disabled for 12 years now.

what more can i do as i am a lone parent of 3 children plus my second child is autistic and i am his carer too. i get dla for him.

please advise me.

Hi Nishinur,

I have moved your question to its own topic as that makes it easier for us to ensure that the correct information is given/taken.

I have also removed your email address from public view. We do not email our replies, you will need to read them here on the forum.

I am sorry that your PIP decision was not what you believe it should be. DLA claimants often fail to understand the differences between DLA and PIP, the requirements for the 2 benefits are quite different.

If you have been through the Mandatory Reconsideration process then your next step will be to go to appeal with the Tribunal Service.

Our PIP guide explains the appeal process and also has a link to the SSCS1 form on which you must submit your appeal request.

PIP help for claimants

You do not need to include a lot of information when you request the appeal, the time for this will come when you receive a copy of the DWP's arguments.

Our Appeal FAQs relate mainly to ESA but most of the information is also true for PIP.

Appeal FAQs

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)
