20 m walk test was created by George
I got polio when I was 3yr old, it resulted in my right leg not developing properly it is 6 inchs shorter than my left leg, Iam now 60yrs old and up until 4/5 years ago I could manage to get around with the aid of a walking stick, all be it very slowly and not very far, but now Iam unable to walk and now have to use cruches to get around ,my question is will this affect the the points Iam awarded in the mobility section of the PIP because I can cover more than 20 m using cruches

You don't say how far you can walk with your crutches but assuming that it is less than 50m then going through the Descriptors;

(a) and (b) your walking with the crutches is too limited.

(c) your walking without the crutches is too limited.

(d) Your walking without the crutches is too limited but your walking with the crutches is not.

(e) Your walking with or without the crutches is not limited.

(f) Your walking with or without the crutches is not limited.

So I would expect you to meet (c)

I hope the above is not too unclear, you need to read it with the Descriptors in the Claim guide.
