PIP and hospital stay was created by worrywart
I was admitted to hospital on 5/3 as a private patient ( BUPA), my surgery went badly wrong and in the 16/3 I was transferred to being a NHS patient - I am likely to be here some time.
I have sent a letter to PIP - am in right in thinking that PIP will be suspended one month from the time I became a NHS patient? I'm assuming carer allowqnce will stop to.
The only response I have had from PIP to date is a PIP review form yet my award is not due to end until 2019.
Any advice appreciated

It's 28 days not a month, the day you went in to the NHS hospital should not count.
Anybody claiming CA will have that stop as well at the same time,
The DWP have been pre-emptive in issuing a review form, but having done so, I'm afraid you have no choice now but to complete the form. The current PIP Claim guide has information on how to complete the form and also discusses the issues that surround it.
