Long wait for PIP face to face assessment? was created by limasierra
I had a text message on 13/2/17 from DWP thanking me for returning my 'How your disability affects you' form and medical evidence etc.
The text said they may need me to attend a consultation with a health professional before they make their decision and they'd let me know if they do.
I've heard nothing since.
Has anyone else had to wait this long?
I'm 68 and presently on life term DLA.

You can chase the Assessment Provider for your postcode, but we are starting to see some delays creeping into the assessment process for PIP.

Thankyou Gordon, I will look at those websites.
By coincidence I've just received a text message from Atos Healthcare saying they have appointments available in my area over the next 7 days giving a phone number to ring if I'm available.
I presume the next 7 days means from tomorrow 30th March but it doesn't give me time to arrange for my daughter to be with me and she works.
I'm wondering if that offer will be considered as one of the two that claimants are offered?
Unsure of this situation,Ii don't think it's been made clear enough.
Anyone else been offered appointments this way?

They are trying to fill open diary slots, you don't have to accept an appointment unless you receive seven days written notice and doing so will not count against your two opportunities to attend.
