Carer's Allowance was created by Greg

Hello ,

l are consistently asked to send 2 monthly payslips to Housing Executive who have said that due to a yearly bonus being paid in March it makes the weekly amount over the £100 threshold. What do l do as scared will lose the Carers Allowance. Should l contact carers allowance myself ?

You are allowed to earn up to £110 a week, if there is a possibility that you have exceeded this amount in any week then you need to contact the Carers Unit. Whether you bonus is a problem will depend on how they apply the extra money.

If they treat it as part of your monthly pay then you may lose your CA for that month, if they average it over a year then it could be more of a problem depending on the amount of the bonus.
