Hello Panel

Your latest circular email prompts these queries:

1. ESA SG deferred reviews. Mine was deferred two years from 2015, and current 2017 date is still the same.
Are reviews being deferred well in advance or might I find if I enquired again nearer the time I've been given, the situation might have changed?

2. PIP ongoing. I've found out that my claim is due for review after my retirement for state pension purposes, in 2026. I've been told that when PIP was paid pre-retirement, it will continue even once you are drawing a state pension. It remains non means-tested and tax free.
Is all this info. correct?

Many thanks for all your advice & services.

Hi A,

1. As with the previous deferrals in 2014, we do not know whose assessment dates are being deferred.

If it's operating on the same system as last time, reassessment dates were being deferred as they were flagged up on the DWP systems.

Therefore, it may be best to ring ESA near the expected date of your referral or just after.

2. If you are in receipt of PIP on or after you reach 65, you will be reviewed for PIP when applicable. PIP remains non means tested and tax free.

So under those circumstances, you can receive PIP whilst also in receipt of your SP and/or Pension Credit if entitled.
