Pip mobility. was created by Joey123
Hi there. I was awarded 0 points for moving around activity. I wrote in my PIP claim for that I could walk 20-50m before suffering fatigue and explained the variability of my symptoms. However the assessor didn't mention this activity and just wrote 200m in her report without mentioning anything about what I wrote in my Pip form. I think because I came by train. When I asked for a MR the CM didn't mention this at all and just wrote that I could walk at a normal pace to assessment room without any difficulty and I came by train. However on my assessors report and in the initial PIP decision letter it said that I could walk 25m to the assessment room without any difficulty and at a normal pace. So the CM has conveniently excluded the 25m in her later argument in the MR. Dreadful!! Also she said there was no evidence of any pain relieving medication mentioned even though it clearly states this on my doctors report. I'm going to an appeal for this and I said I will provide medical evidence to indicate level of this functional restriction. What sort of thing needs to be said in thus report.
Thanks

The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

You need evidence that supports the distances that you can walk. As your symptoms appear to be variable you also need the report to explain how they change and what causes that change.
