Confusing letter from Jobcentre was created by CaravanUser
I've just got a letter regarding my ESA. I'm currently in the 13 week waiting period but this letter has confused me. Its titles Your claim for employment and support allowance - changes in the employment and support allowance rates payable.

It tells me I will get £73.10 until 18th Jan 2018 then it will stop. It doesn't tell me what group they have put me in only that this assessment is based on my NI contribution record.

Is this about my claim or a standard letter going out to everyone?

I am guessing that you are currently receiving Contribution Based ESA and that you made your claim on 19 January 2017.

The payment of ESA(CB) is limited to 365 days for claimants not in the Support Group.

No Decision has been made on your claim yet and you need to wait to see whether you need a face to face assessment or not.
