I have hit a small problem and was wondering what to do.
I have just been diagnosed with yet "another" DVT this is the second time in the same leg. I have been waiting on there deciaion on the re-assessment now for 10 weels and still nothing from them. I thought the second time with the easy to fill in tick box was supposed to be quIcker? ( obviously not )
As I said I had ever just been diagnosed and was wondering what is the correct procedure to follow. Wait until the decision comes thru the post in that horrible brown envelope or make a call and tell them what has happened?
Thanks for any response.

Hi P,
The important issue to consider here is will the new diagnosis of a DVT alter the points that you score for the applicable PIP descriptors.
If the DVT does not alter your Daily Living & Mobility limitations/needs, there is no need to report it as a Change of Circumstances.
If you are going to report it, this may result in a fresh assessment which may or may not include a F2F.
Whether you report it now, or after receiving the decision, this could result in a F2F !

I've just noticed this response.
That answers a lot of questions I had. It does effect my balance and I now walk on 2 sticks it's just another problem I need to sort out. It terrible when you have been given more bad news you panic and the first thing in your head apart from " am I gonna die " is " Oooooo no is this going to effect my benefits" it's such a horrible way they play with people's life's and reading some of the people on here's problems I'm actually amazed they have had to go this far.
Thank you very much, for the help.
