PIP assessment cancelled again

My wife had her PIP assessment arranged for 8.30am yesterday morning (3/4/17) at Durham.We parked in the car park and I got a phone call from our son at home, stating Atos had just phoned and the appointment was cancelled. Atos said they had been trying to contact us since the previous friday.

I contacted Atos customer services and they told me they had tried several times over the weekend to contact us, on one occasion the phone was answered and went dead. This was totally untrue, A new appointment was made for today at 1.30pm at Durham.

Today we went for the appointment and actually got into the building and to the Atos Desk, and were told that once again the appointment was cancelled, and that a message had been sent to us , via my wife's mobile at 8.30am. Once again untrue and the receptionist read it from the computer.

As you can imagine we were very annoyed and my wife very upset. A new appointment has been made.

When we got back to the car and my wife checked her phone, no cancellation message , but a message at 1.36pm from Atos reminding us to attend the assessment!!!!!!!

My wife has complained to Atos and they are sending a complaint form, and also contacting DWP.

I am also considering writing to my MP. Any advice would be appreciated.
