balancing

just curious about other peoples experience of assessment of balance.i was told to hold onto a fixed handle, which i held tight while lifting one foot at a time of the floor .this was assessed as being able to balance on each foot. i guess by the same logic i could just walk on my hands..... hope "they" are not reading this or I might give them new ideas for defining mobility !
