PIP Additional evidence lost. was created by CLINTIAN
Hi, First of all I sent in a Mandatory reconsideration for my husband within the one month deadline and informing them I will send in further additional evidence within an additional one month [which I Did ].
Now I Sent in the additional information via Special Delivery and have proof it was received, after numerous calls it seems after three weeks it is still not in there system and a call was received recently to say it appears to have been lost by them and admit it is their fault,
I’m now waiting for a promised call back ,
The caller said they would call to say what options are available and possibly, 1. I Will have to start again as regards gathering additional evidence from my Doctor [Another letter], plus Medical history Etc. etc., so again more wasted time and expense, 2. He said that he did not know for sure but it is possible the Mandatory reconsideration result might already be on its way to us with or without additional missing evidence!!!.
Just to reiterate Mandatory reconsideration plus additional evidence were all sent in time and confirmed by Special Delivery proof, DWP admit they have most likely lost all additional evidence.
I’m just asking for advice on what to do or say to any further phone calls, obviously if the result of the M.R. is on its and is correct as regards a favourable outcome then fine but what if it isn’t then I would point out that they lost valuable additional evidence that might well have proved to have resulted in a positive outcome,
I’m so fed up of this from the change over from DLA to Pip, the disgusting face to face and now all this [four months of hell], Please help, Thank you.

I would make a formal complaint to the DWP about the lost information, I hope you kept a copy.

Complaining to the DWP

If they have completed the MR without the additional evidence then you can ask for a second MR to be done, they may be willing to do this, but be aware that the time to appeal is usually taken from the date of the first MR Decision.

You also have the option of going on to appeal, revision rates at MR are not very high whereas they are over 60% at appeal, of course an appeal could take another 4-5 months.
