Receiving the message us about sight or hearing, interpreting it could be down to these as well but also could be due to cognitive impairment or brain damage, etc.

So if he can see/hear a message but then cannot understand it due to a physical condition then he should score points, but be aware the test is strict.

Do you mean that claimant should complete the new ESA50 just like a claimant would complete a new claim or a first claim?

Or do you mean that the ESA50 is viewed by DWP to be a new claim, despite the claimant being in receipt of ESA when the reassessment form is sent?

You cannot rely on those reassessing you to look at any of the information from any previous assessment that you had, also, this is an assessment of how your are today, not however you were several years ago.

So you need to treat this reassessment as a new claim and supply all of the information that you would do in those circumstances.
