Confused in Northern Ireland was created by Faith
PIP was introduced in Northern Ireland on 20 June 2016.

I'm still on DLA and was at first awarded a fixed term until 2020, middle care component and lower mobility component. However, a couple of weeks ago, I got a letter that I'm now on indefinite.

I am totally confused and how will this relate to the change over to PIP?

My disabilities have gone to bad to worse and every dreaded brown envelope coming through the front door, wants me to go roll over and die. There's been a total collapse of Stormont and neither did the charities pay any attention as to what is happening in the UK and my district is one to be the hardest hit, charities are up in arms.

Any advice please, i appreciate it very much.

p.s. and do the DWP, Maximus or Atos spy on these forums

I have had a look at the PIP(NI) Regs and it doesn't really change anything in regard to your being invited to claim PIP, basically they can do it at a time of their choosing.

The forum is open to the internet for reading, it would be foolish to assume that nobody from the other side of the assessment is not looking at what is posted but I think the likelihood of anybody with knowledge of your situation looking at it is very low, if you are concerned then you can make you content confidential which means it can only be seen by you and the Moderators.

Thank you for your reply Gordon.

I have so many questions, I printed out everything I could possible print out. Also filed and easily accessible. But firstly where do I make my post confidential, I couldn't find anything on the Frequent Q &A's? My disabilities are in most part a very private matter.

Thank you so much!

The simplest way is to preface your post with a request to the Mods to do it for you, it would help if you make it clear what you want included.

Be aware it can be difficult for us to respond to posts like this as we cannot make our reply confidential as you won't be able to see it.

No problem Gordon, upon reflection and reading through so many posts, leave it as is. I found you and all the moderators; and of course the members' replies very helpful and who knows, perhaps my process and experiences from DLA to PIP and/or PIP reassessment, may shed a guiding light and hope on others in a similar positions.

After looking at my previous filled in DLA forms (and trusting the organisation that did the filling in and me just receiving it before due date), and comparing it to all the available downloadable pdf's here, I have discovered so many mistakes.

A question please:

I see my GP on a regular basis, then I have 4 specialists, do I need to get a full medical report (the daily and mobility ones of how my disability and mental health effects me) from all of them too i.e. to hand in as evidence for my PIP claim? And all the my medical records at the hospital? Also my daily and mobility diaries, epilepsy seizure charts? What evidence is inadmissible e.g. regarding my various prognosis's?
