Pip atos waiting times was created by Kk
My paperwork was sent to Atos 3 weeks ago from the dwp. I was told it's with an assessor who will decide if I need a paper based or ftf assessment. Anyone any idea how long it can be with them to decide this?

Hi Kk,

Th time ATOS take to decide will vary dependent on the workload of the office that is dealing with your assessment.

Normally, claimants hear from ATOS within a fortnight.

I must warn you that PIP Paper Based Reviews are very rare, so don't be surprised if you receive an appointment letter for a face to face.

You can of course request a Home Assessment if you can show that your disabilities/limitations preclude you from making the return trip to/from an ATOS PIP Consultation Centre.

Good luck and let us know how things are progressing by replying to this topic which you could bookmark now.

Hi, is your paperwork for a review or a brand new pip claim? ATOS have now had my review paperwork for 4 weeks, I am based in the north west. When I spoke to them, 4 weeks ago, they said I would hear from them within 2 weeks.

Hi I had the assessment today. Seemed to go ok. Fairly standard from what I've been reading. Just the wait for the decision now.
